Still good after 25 years

I am sitting in Boulder, Colorado at this desk. I found Amana Furniture over 25 years ago, when I taught at the Univ. of Iowa. After I moved here, I wanted something to remind me of Iowa, so purchased this desk. The desk has held up very well over 20+ years of use.

My only (small) gripe is that the guy who crated it for shipping should not have been given a nail gun. He used it nail the crate together, with a humongous number of long, difficult to remove nails. I managed to scratch the desk while laboring to extract it from its crate/coffin. A silverback gorilla would not have escaped during shipping -- not even a Hawkeye offensive tackle.
