FIT-UP QUARTZ CLOCK INSTRUCTIONS
- BATTERIES
- The movement type determines the battery size. These battery sizes should be readily available at most discount and home improvement stores. Oftentimes, the battery size is listed inside the battery compartment. However, if it is not and you are unsure about which size to use, please call for assistance.
- Insert the battery according to the positive (+) and negative (-) markings in the battery compartment of the movement. Always insert the positive (+) end into the movement first.
- SET THE TIME
- Gently pull the movement from the front of the clock. This may require slight use of your fingertips or fingernails to get the movement started. Keep the movement parallel with the clock case as you pull.
- Use the time adjustment wheel to set the correct time.
- To reinstall, align the movement in the clock case with the numeral “12” at the top and press firmly and evenly, keeping the movement parallel with the clock case until the movement is snug. If the “12” is not centered at the top, the movement must be removed before it can be realigned. Do not attempt to twist or turn it into place.
- WARRANTY
- All Amana quartz movement clocks have a one (1) year warranty on the movement.
SAVANNA, COURTROOM, & BARRISTER WALL CLOCK INSTRUCTIONS
- BATTERIES
- Install one “AA” size battery according to the markings on the movement. Always insert the positive (+) end into the movement first. An alkaline battery is suggested for longest life.
- SET THE TIME
- Set the time on the clock using the round set knob on the back of the movement.
- WARRANTY
- All Amana quartz movement clocks have a one (1) year warranty on the movement.
MANTLE & WALL CLOCK INSTRUCTIONS
- UNPACKING
- Carefully unpack and remove the clock from its container.
- For wall clock models only, locate the pendulum before disposing of any material. Unlock the pendulum holder from its shipping position by gently sliding to the right until it hangs freely. Carefully place pendulum on hanger.
- BATTERIES
- Install 2 “C” size batteries according to the markings on the movement. Always insert the positive (+) end into the movement first.
- SET THE TIME
- Set the time to 5:45 AM by turning the hand-setting knob on the movement, then push the RESET (D) button.
- To set the time and melody, turn the hand-setting knob on the movement. If the present time is PM, make sure the hour hand passes through 12 o’clock until the desired time is shown.
- During time setting you will hear sounds, but continue until the desired time is shown. Once the desired time is set, the melody will sound correctly.
- The 4x4 sound modes will not work correctly during the first hour after time is set. After that, however, it works perfectly. This is a normal condition for this movement.
- MELODY FUNCTION
- MONITOR (A): To demonstrate the hourly sound, select the melody by (E) button and press the “MONITOR” button.
- VOLUME (B): Rotary volume.
- SET (C): Advances the strike count one hour for every push of the button.
- RESET (D): Resets the clock as if the batteries had been removed and re-inserted. If you press this button, you must again follow the directions above as if placing new batteries into the clock.
- SELECT (E): Melody select.
- SOUND (F): Sound selection. NIGHT OFF—sound turns off from 11:00 PM to 5:45 AM automatically. 24Hr ON—sound turned on 24 hours. OFF—sound turned completely off.
