CUTTING BOARD & ROLLING PIN CARE & USE INSTRUCTIONS

Our cutting boards and rolling pins are created from North American solid hardwoods and crafted to be both a functional piece for your kitchen and a work of art for any room in your home. Even with the careful work of our craftsmen and the use of premium materials, proper care, and cleaning are needed to keep it in top condition.

  1. Clean your cutting board or rolling pin by wiping with a damp sponge or towel and a mild detergent. Dry it completely and place it in a space that allows plenty of air movement around it.
  2. Avoid excessive moisture. Allowing your cutting board or rolling pin to sit on a wet surface, soak in standing water, or washing in a dishwasher is not recommended. In doing so, the surface will become rough and cracking/warping may occur and possibly lead to glue joint failure.
  3. Treat your cutting board or rolling pin with a food safe wood conditioner or mineral oil as it begins to look dull or dry. Using other oils (vegetable, olive, etc.) on it will cause build up and turn rancid. Periodically treating your cutting board will help avoid the surface from becoming rough, cracking, and glue joint failure.

With proper care, your cutting board or rolling pin will provide many years of use and enjoyment. Over time, expected signs of use will begin to show. Simply restore it’s surface with a light sanding, a thorough cleaning, and a food safe wood conditioner treatment.
